The Rotary Club of Victor Harbor is proud to announce that they have completed their fundraising cycle ride from Victor Harbor to Broken Hill arriving in time for the last Rotary District 9520 Conference.
We well exceeded our target of $50,000 and all riders safely completed the ride without incident – except for a huge sense of achievement and a few aching joints!
The team of riders finished the Bike Ride in Broken Hill on Thursday 4 April 2019. They couldn’t have done without the great support from club members and their partners as support crew. Club President Mark and club member Leonie did a great job in organising the event that was run safely without incident.
The ride has even more significance now that our drought affected rural friends and families are struggling through such a difficult time.
It is not only farmers who need our help here, but entire communities.
Of the now $67,000 raised part of the funds will go towards a Funding Partner Research PhD Scholarship in the area of Rural Mens Mental Health, and the balance will fund general ARH Mental Health awareness programs.
